and sci-fi characters and environments for most of his life, and made the
jump from traditional to digital around 1998. At the heart of his work

as a long distance lorry driver in the '60s and '70s before becoming a
full-time artist in 1984. Now he paints lorries for a living and has just
published a retrospective of his work called 'Roadscapes' "I've

Woods, based in Preston, Lancashire, England rescue over 70 sick and injured
birds of prey each year and rely solely on donations and the small amount
of money received from outside educational visits and the small entrance
fee charged for visiting the sanctuary.
